History

The EndoInSight disposable CO2 insufflator was developed by a multidisciplinary team at Vanderbilt's STORM Lab.

While working on a wireless insufflation capsule that could be used to inflate the colon during capsule colonoscopy, a gastroenterologist from Vanderbilt's Digestive Disease Center suggested that effervescence-based insufflation systems might increase adoption of less-painful colonoscopy if it could be repackaged in a manner that eliminated the drawbacks associated with current CO2 insufflation systems.

Since that moment of inspiration, the EndoInSight team has worked closely with clinicians to develop disposable CO2 insufflators that complement clinical workflows while creating value for healthcare providers.
